Kylie Galen's life hasn't been the same since her world was turned upside-down in Born at Midnight, Shadow Falls #1, and now an epic conclusion to her journey—not to mention a tough choice between two guys!—is brewing in Chosen at Nightfall:

When Kylie Galen left Shadow Falls, she thought it was the hardest decision of her life. Heartbroken and separated from everyone she loves, she has to embrace her abilities and what it means to be a chameleon. But as Kylie's journey comes to a close, she must return to the camp that started it all...and she must finally chose between the two boys who love her. The werewolf who broke her heart when he chose his pack over her, and the half-fae who ran from their intense attraction before they ever really had a chance. For Kylie, everything will finally be revealed and nothing will ever be the same.

* Warning-Spoilers for previous books in the Shadow Falls Series*

Kylie Galen has gone through a lot since her parents sent her off to Shadow Falls. She found out her dad was not her biological father and that her real dad was dead. She found out that she was a paranormal creature like no one else at the camp. She has dodged bad guys, lost some and saved others. She has gained a family and friends. She has loved and she has been heartbroken. Kylie has had to make hard decisions that no one her age should ever have to make. CHOSEN AT NIGHTFALL brought all the characters together and tied up all the loose ends.

WHISPERS AT MOONRISE ended with Kylie finding out that Lucas promised himself to another and Kylie leaving Shadow Falls with her grandfather and aunt to learn more about herself as a chameleon. Kylie continues to have a bad feeling about her moms new boyfriend. Even warning her mom only to be brushed off. As a mom myself I could not imagine putting my boyfriend before my child's needs and feelings. She is a pretty selfish person that can not see what is in front of her and you just want to shake her sometimes. As for the love interests, Lucas does everything and everything to apologize to Kylie, and Derek makes another move on Kylie and declares his feelings again. Even though she does end up with one of them the other one continues to be a very good loyal friend. Holiday and Burnett continue to make me go AWWWW. I love how far their relationship has evolved. Della and Miranda continue to support Kylie. They are great friends and she couldn't ask for better.

The final showdown while short was good and full of tension. I can not think of anything that C.C. Hunter left out by the end of CHOSEN AT NIGHTFALL. I'm satisfied with the way things ended, and feel that everyone ended up where they should have been.

I gave it 4/5 stars
