After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.

Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….

Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.

Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.

With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?

Ms. Simmons gets another 5 star review from me with BREAKING POINT, book 2 in the Article 5 series. Ember is starting to feel a little safer as her and Chance lay low with the Resistance. That is until Ember makes the governments most wanted list and an old enemy shows up at their doorstep.

Things have definitely been brought up a notch in BREAKING POINT. We get to meet a ton of new interesting people and learn more about people we already know. The world building is just as fantastic as ARTICLE 5 and we get to see more of the landscape.  There is a ton of action from start to finish. Chase and Ember's relationship is once again slow moving and a bit frustrating at times but you can definitely see their feelings in the way they describe their looks and those stolen unfiltered interactions with each other. They are both madly and deeply in love with each other and they are starting to open up again. There is great growth all around and I';m excited where things are headed.

The series is definitely fast paced and full of suspense and emotion. The characters are set on a whole different place at the end of BREAKING POINT and I cant imagine book 3 will be anything but a home run!!

I gave 5/5 stars
